It is exactly what the title says it is.

For $10 (the price it was at when I purchased it), it is a good, well, "Roadmap" for what you should be looking at insofar as study material. In other-words, they have reviewed Microsoft's published course outline, and from there developed a Cliff Notes-like book. They give you a general overview of each topic, and then provide you a few "more reading" links for you to follow per topic, and which you would absolutely need to read if you wanted to actually know the material presented.
My complaint is actually with this title in the Kindle format. So much of this text is external links, but either Kindle doesn't recognize URLs and know what to do with them (just handles it like plain text), or the authors didn't properly configure links in the text. As such, you wind up having to select the URL text, copy, leave to a browser, etc. Very, very time consuming.
What this is not is your only pre-test read. You will not have sufficient information to pass this test with only this book. But at the lower price, it is a good place to start.

It's for school so of course I am not crazy about it.

It for school and I have never given ANY book 5 stars for a college text. I would have preferred a hard copy instead of Kindle because the e-readers aren't the same. Seems like a lot of information included but my complaint are all the external links to other websites. I have found some fo those links are broken and when you have two or three to a page it make for a long session.
