A further two chapters apply legal analysis to the Israeli settlements in the territories occupied after 1967 and then set forth the humanitarian law for the protection of war victims in relation to the attack-invasion of the summer of 1982. A Distorted View of International Law

WT Mallison was asked by the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People to write a legal opinion on therights under International Law. It was published by the UN in pamphlet form in 1979. What he wrote so distorted International Law that Julius Stone, an acclaimed Australian International Lawyer wrote, in 1981, "Israel and Palestine: Assault on the Law of Nations to point out the glaring errors. In 1984 there emerged a new journal appearing quite scholarly entitled The Palestine Yearbook of International Law. In it was a 26 page article by Mallison attempting to explain away his errors.

international law in the context of the Palestine problem

a caveat: i'm not a lawyer. in fact, this is the first book about international law i've ever read. that said, i thought it was a good introduction to international law, in a real world context. it obviously is taking a Palestinian point of view, and it would be interesting to see a good rebuttal from the other side.
