Highly recommendable reading for anyone who's interested about the occult, myths, nazism, revisionism, conspiracies, ufos, spiritualism, science fiction - even The X-files. Definitely the most striking, fascinating, comprehensive, open minded ---- book about the occult 'roots' of the 3rd Reich and much more.

Don't bother

I agree with the reviewer who characterized this as a hodge podge of unrelated anecdotes and stream of consciousness associations. The problem is that when you reach some part that may be factual and may have some value, all the other stuff makes that conclusion untenable.
The most disturbing aspect of this book was the author's characterization of Tibet, the Dalai Lama and Tibetan Buddhism about which he obviously knows nothing. The monastic community in Tibet, prior to the take-over by China, was one of the most advanced, disciplined centers of learning anywhere in the world. The Tibetans had/have acquired near universal admiration and gratitude for their deep, careful analyses of the human mind and how it functions. Harvard, Yale and other top-notch US universities have, since the early1990s, sent their most highly trained specialists to confer with the Dalai Lama, stateside or in Dharamsala, to plumb the depths of his invaluable and deeply compassionate understanding of human nature.
